I. Terms of Use
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Use set forth the conditions, procedures, rights, obligations, and responsibilities regarding the use of services provided by the Asia Pacific Pilates Alliance (hereinafter referred to as "APPA").
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Member" refers to a person who understands and agrees to these terms and completes the registration process.
- "Service" refers to the education, certification, conventions, business collaborations, and networking opportunities provided by APPA.
Article 3 (Membership and Eligibility)
Certified members are categorized as follows:
- Certified Lesson Instructor
- Certified Instructor Teacher
- Certified Studio
- Certified Academy
These certified members are managed under APPA’s Certified Business Management System.
Special Member types include:
- Pilates Equipment Manufacturer
- Dealer & Distributor
Article 4 (Member Rights and Obligations)
- Members are entitled to participate in APPA's official events, certification programs, information sharing, and international networking.
- Members must ensure the accuracy of their information, respect the rights of others, and comply with relevant laws and these terms.
Article 4-1 (General Member Benefits and Registration Process)
- Composition: Pilates instructors
- Eligibility: Individuals who have completed a formal Pilates education course
- Registration: Through Google Form
- Cost: Free
- Benefits:
- Access to free content provided by member countries
- Access to APPA’s free resources
- Additional benefits and business opportunities upon upgrading to a paid membership
Article 4-2 (Sponsorship Program)
APPA’s business activities are supported through sponsorships. Sponsors receive various benefits and opportunities.
- Sponsor Types:
- Corporation: Pilates brands, manufacturers, product-related companies, Pilates-related businesses
- Organization: Pilates studios or national organizations related to Pilates
- Association: Academic or professional associations related to Pilates
- Sponsor Tiers and Benefits:
- 🔸 Gold Sponsor
Term: Up to 2 years (Limited to 2 per APPA region)
Benefits: Top exposure across all APPA online/offline platforms and link on official site, sponsor video exposure, monthly promotions
Fee: USD 2,000/year
- 🔸 Silver Sponsor
Term: Up to 1 year (Limited to 8 per APPA region)
Benefits: Mid-level exposure, link on official site, image & description registration
Fee: USD 1,500/year
- 🔸 Bronze Sponsor
Term: Up to 1 year (Limited to 16 per APPA region)
Benefits: Bottom exposure, link on official site
Fee: USD 1,000/year
Article 4-3 (Business Board Usage)
- Eligible Users: APPA-certified regular and paid members
- Purpose: To freely post, advertise, and promote Pilates-related business information
- Conditions:
- Access is granted upon approval and verification by the APPA Secretariat
- Posts must be related to Pilates business, products, services, or events and may be subject to pre/post review
- Content violating the rules (e.g., false advertising, defamation) will be deleted, and repeated violations may lead to restricted access
Article 5 (Provision and Changes of Service)
APPA provides services including education, conventions, joint marketing, information sharing, and international exchanges.
Services may change with prior notice.
Article 6 (Termination and Membership Suspension)
- Members may voluntarily withdraw at any time.
- Membership may be suspended or revoked due to false information, harm to others, or violation of terms.
Article 7 (Intellectual Property and Content Use)
- All content including websites and training materials belongs to APPA or the original copyright holders. Unauthorized copying, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited.
- APPA content cannot be used without prior consent.
Article 8 (Dispute Resolution)
In case of disputes, the court with jurisdiction over the APPA headquarters in Seoul shall be the exclusive jurisdiction.
Article 9 (Personal Data Protection)
The purpose of data collection will be disclosed, and users may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data.
Article 10 (Disclaimer)
APPA is not liable for damages caused by force majeure or the fault of the user.
Article 11 (Amendments to the Terms)
These terms may be amended due to legal or policy changes, and such changes will be announced on the official website.
Article 12 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the Seoul Central District Court shall have jurisdiction.
