The best robot vacuum cleaner and mop robot hoover can clean and mop without requiring your attention, and it will leave your floors clean. Its low cost and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are pluses.

Be sure to check your robot's brushes for tangled hair and large particles, and wash them when needed. Some models can also automatically empty their dust bin on board into a larger one at the base, which reduces the amount of fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the pricier Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've tested. They feature motors that are top of the line and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other iRobots with premium features (including the top model), they use intelligent mapping to design precise floor plans and eliminate household obstacles like cords and furniture leg. The robots also feature a feature called Carpet Boost that increases its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.

Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our bare floor tests They're also particularly adept at cleaning pet hair. However, they do have a few flaws, however, that prevent them from being our top choice. For instance, the Q5's navigation system doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to getting hung up on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with a lot of people efficiently in our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.

However, it's a good choice for those who want to save money on an Roomba from iRobot and have a mostly bare-floor home or office. It's also very quiet and operates while you are at work or at school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming feature that's available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on very well and can't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has an auto-emptying dock, however. If you're required to clean the mopping pad, it can be replaced with one that is wet in just a few just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into an elegant, compact package. Its intelligent cleaning maps as well as fluid navigation make it simple to clean and effective in dealing with larger particles like pet hair. It also has a self-emptying dustbin as well as powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot hoover for carpets, though it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop uses sensors to keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the structure of your home over time to ensure better cleaning. The app allows you to customize zones and change the cleaning schedule. It has a battery lifespan that is similar to other models.

It is possible to instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mop and extend them when in a carpeted area to prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm is also perfect for getting under low-lying furniture and along baseboards. It's not as efficient on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop in the market to clean the entire house with 66 percent of its battery left. It also did a good job cleaning a variety of floors and rooms that had different flooring types, including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was superb, and it avoided fake dog turds and socks, shoes and bundles cables.

It's a little more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but offers superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after vacuuming it, something we haven't seen in other robot vacuum reviews automatic vacuum and mop robot/mop combinations.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

This mop and vacuum combination features a sleek, circular design that looks more like the regular Roomba unit than the boxy units of the competition. It's one of our most attractive robot vacuums. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also its smartest. It comes with advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).

It's also the sole robot vacuums that mop vacuum or mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is thanks to a mix of high-tech sensors including a structured lighting system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can fully autonomously refill and empty its base station and it boasts industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is simple to use. It comes with an intuitive mobile app interface that is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This can be a problem in the mornings before work or during the night when you are trying to sleep.

It's also a bit costly but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally capable and better looking. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's very capable, but it's going to cost you more and create more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with many advanced features that will let you get rid of your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device like Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically empty the vacuum's bin, refills the water tank, and cleans and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot uses a combination of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and spot obstacles, navigating more intelligently than some of its premium competitors. It also has a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards, although this wasn't quite reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a high suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also comes with an attribute known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas in the house depending on how dirty the areas are.

If you own a larger home, it is worth choosing a model that has zones or spot cleaning modes. This lets you inform the robot of which area of your home needs to be cleaned by using the app or voice command. If you have lots of furniture, a stair-mode is also useful. Finally the recharge and resume function that allows your robot vacuum to pick up right where it left off is ideal for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a cleaner with more intelligence than you'd imagine from its price. It is a great job cleaning, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses using a single pad and a reciprocating movement which is cleaner than the majority of the mop cleaners with robots that we've tried. It's also self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self-emptying, washable base.

The well-designed iRobot application guides you through an initial mapping exercise that collects information about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you mark on the map. You can use it to create cleaning schedules, arrange the perfect spot for cleaning or prioritize your most filthy rooms to improve performance. The app also gives access to a host of features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, meaning it can reach corners and underneath furniture more easily. It also has a powerful suction of 8,000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs for hair of pets. You can also create a spot-cleaner that will thoroughly clean a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker more affordable alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive style, much like Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed like cute little eyes. It is excellent at vacuuming, but it is more likely to get caught in low thresholds. It is also louder than other top robot vacuums that we have tested. It also has a less user-friendly app and a tiny base station that doesn't double as an emptying bin.robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpg
