Best Automatic Vacuum and Mop Combos

The Narwal Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is one of the most effective combos that I've tested. Its base station has an enormous dustbin and water tank, and its dual rubber brushes are less prone to hair tangles than single bristles.

Its mopping performance is strong and its AI mapping is excellent at avoiding obstacles. It is also able to pause its cleaning work and resume where it began.

The X40 Ultra offers best automatic vacuum cleaner cleaning of its base station and dust collector filter. The mop pads are cleaned with hot water and drained, and the dirty water tank is emptied automatically after each cleaning session.

It comes with advanced options to customize the cleaning schedule, such as choosing a specific time to begin and end each cycle, or deciding if it should vacuum carpets prior to mopping. It can be instructed to re-clean dirty areas and to boost suction around pet litter and food bowls. The X40 Ultra can be programmed to perform specific tasks on demand for example, cleaning the kitchen sink or bathroom toilet. It can be programmed to automatically raise the front side brush when it detects wet areas, and clean up debris around the edges and baseboards.

The S1 Pro's navigation and maps are excellent, with the internal dToF LiDAR system allowing it to maintain an unobtrusive appearance while providing top-quality object avoidance. It can drive close to walls without hitting them and avoiding steps, and it also raises its mop automatically when it drives over rugs and short-pile carpets. It was a bit shaky when it came across carpets with longer piles, and there were a few large, thick piles of dried-on debris.

The S1 Pro is ready to go straight out of the box and it only needs an easy mapping session to discover your home. The map will be displayed in the app, and you can add or join rooms as needed. You can also create virtual boundaries areas, no-go zones and no-mop zones if you don't want the robot to touch certain objects.

The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up spills from hard floors, thanks to its rotating mop head that puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to both mop and vacuum is a great option for homes with both types of flooring. However, its reliance on Eufy cleaning solutions (which are included in the box) could make it less adaptable than other robots which allow you to add your own cleaning products.
