1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and customize the behavior of the S1.

The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which comprises linoleum in the dining area, kitchen and bathrooms and also a medium-pile and a large rug. It easily drove close to walls without colliding with them, and even managed to traverse thresholds for rooms that are raised without problem, although it sometimes had trouble navigating down stairs in a single move. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it came to carpets or rug.

The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated waters prior to each mopping session. The dock also provides a deep-cleaning robot mop and vacuum solution to the water. The S1's water tank holds enough for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be cleaned, although this can vary based the amount you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to keep it working well. To do this, you'll need to rinse out the dirty water tank occasionally to keep it from becoming clogged. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors frequently to avoid them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combinations which require more effort to maintain.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robot vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option to meet your cleaning needs. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with a number of innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that eliminates obstructions and cleans furniture. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than simply dragging a pad across the surface. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as required.

It includes a rechargeable hand vacuum for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot can't reach and two water tanks that are automatically empty and filled whenever needed. It also has a number of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with strong suction that easily picks up most of the debris, and even smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it can be stuck on small mats and rugs at my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping feature is pretty excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mops that actually lift and scrub the floors instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when required. The mops can also be filled at the top of the station as required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest flagship robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our best mop and autonomous vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush will give you a thorough, custom-designed clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently while avoiding pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping power is enhanced by an additional side brush that automatically moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.

Its navigation is nimble it can navigate narrow spaces and climbing stairs without skipping a beat. It can move from one room to another without having to reverse direction, which is a handy feature for homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than some competitors and leaves a wide margin over obstacles. This could lead to missing spots.

The app is streamlined, intuitive interface that should be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleaning tasks. You can also adjust suction power, mop setting and view 3-D and 2D maps. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You'll require a stable WiFi connection to use the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro

Robot vacuums are great in removing dirt and debris but they aren't able to reach all dust. It's essential to clean your home often, at least once a week. This is particularly important for dust that collects in corners, on shelves, and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mop, is made to do exactly that. It is easy to connect to your home WiFI network and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.

The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's pricier S-series models, including the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's less expensive because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and comes with a plastic body.

Even though it's not able to mop floors, the Q5 still offers the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robotic hoovers at this price. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It also comes with a smart app that lets you set the type of floor and schedule cleanings, and an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system to allow hands-free operation.

The mops also stand out with their 2700Pa power that can take on pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested to not have issues with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it could not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise because it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also has an innovative mapping system that allows it to reach corners and tight places that other vacuums are unable to. It also stores dust in a larger bin which means you need empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters, which reduces the cost. The robot is able to detect carpets, and boost suction when needed. The app also allows you to mark areas you want to stay clear of and is a great feature.
